WOYWW (I hope!)

Hello!
What a nightmare last week! Bad blogger just would not upload any pics so here's hoping it works today! and as usual my work desk is *ahem* shall we say, "well loved" this week??
If you have no idea what I am talking about then hop over to Julia's blog to find out more (and see lots of other work spaces too!)
So, here is my desk this week...
I am mid project for the Blog Hop happening right here this Friday and I have 3 birthdays this weekend alone! Plus all the other little things to do makes for a very busy S.J. this week! Stressed? Moi???
Before I go I would like to still share with you what was on my work desk last week as it was a bit special with a new arrival........
This is Murphy! He is our new pup. He is a yorkie-poo and a complete time (I haven't really got) waster ;-) **errm, notice my desk isn't always a bomb site too! he he!
Well that's all for today, I hope you enjoyed your snoop and I will endeavour to get round to as many of you as possible this week :-)
Thanks as always for stopping by today. Please pop back again (Friday for the hop would be good, I have made lots of yummy projects!) but soon if not!

Mojo Monday 197

Good Morning,
So, I promised you a paper creation today and I am happy to say I managed to make a card last night when I came home from work, I followed the Mojo sketch #197 this week and as soon as I saw it I thought of this greeting stamp from Occasional Greetings, it's such a lovely sentiment, I really must use it more often ;-)
The colours are Blush Blossom, Perfect Plum and Sahara Sand, this combo is taken from the Colour Coach, if you would like to see more combos from this great tool then don't forget to join us on FRIDAY for a great fun blog hop :-)
This flower comes from the Fun Flowers Die again, I will do a quick tutorial later in the week to show you how to achieve this look from them :-) Lovely bit of Poly In Colour ribbon under the flower,
and a little bit of decoration inside to finish it off
Well, that's it from me today, I have a list as long as your arm today as well as a sickly boy, poor Zack has about 100 chicken pox spots now! So who knows how much I will get done!
I'll let you know...
Thanks for dropping by today,

A Little Cup!

Good morning!
I have a sickly kid at home today, it seems we have chickenpox around this way! My friends kids go to a different school but close to here and it's there too :-(
Zack's spots have doubled in numbers overnight and he now has about 30 of the little devils, but that said he is O.K. in himself today, he has been feeling a lot worse this week before the spots came out, so that's one good thing I suppose!
Anyway, as I mentioned in my previous post we baked cupcakes on Saturday afternoon, what I didn't tell you is I got some super cute new cases in Waterstones (of all places!) here have a look...
How cute are they?? Unfortunately they only came in a pack of 4 and they were quite expensive so I just treated myself to the one pack as I still had a book token from my birthday, I LOVE 'em though :-D
and a bit of the icing, not the best and I would like some new nozzles for prettier swirls, but the ones I have will have do for now! The little flowers were ones I punched out ages ago, my little tip is I did cheat and bought ready rolled icing to punch them from, but it works well.
I also sprinkled some gold glitter on top, gotta have bling, even on a cake ;-)
Well, I better get back to the patient but I will be back tomorrow with a some paper creations, I promise.
Before I go a quick reminder don't forget my charity class (last week to sign up this week) and my special offer for the rest of June and July too, more details in the side bar!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Less is More Sketch

Hello,
I am posting this late this evening instead of early morning so I can link it up the fabulous LIM challenge blog as I out at the craft fair at Lyndhurst again Sunday morning, do pop in if you are in Lyndhurst, it is in the Community Centre, I would love to say Hi!
Anyway, I love this weeks sketch at LIM and wanted to play straight away but we have had a busy day today though baking cupcakes (pics to follow) and looking after puppy too ;-) So, I finished this just before I went to work tonight, I used a colour combo of Peach Parfait, Rose Red and a touch of Basic Black to take away some of the sweetness...
The flowers are die cut from the Fun Flowers Die and embossed with the perfect polka dots folder (both exclusive to SU!). I filled two flowers with Rose Red buttons tied with Silver Cord and made a little ribbon rose for the third, tutorial in side bar,
I love this pic showing the dimension of the flowers, I love my cards not to be too flat.... as you may have noticed ;-)
and a last little pic inside,
Well, that's it from me tonight, I have a very early start again tomorrow.
Thanks ever so for stopping by and thanks to Mandi and Chrissie for their inspiration again, mwah!

Simply Stampin' Sketch

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
And Saturday means it's time for another Simply Stampin' Challenge. This week we have a fabby sketch for you to try out :-) Hop over for lots more inspiration from the very talented DT ladies,

and this is what I came up with, it's a bright one this week, in the vain hope of some summer eventually arriving!!
I used the lovely Cheers to You for the summer cocktails and Tart and Tangy for the background and cherries on the front panel,
After stamping and colouring a row of glasses I cut them out with the SU! exclusive Top Note Die and covered the "glass" part in crystal effects,
Summer bunting was stamped with Dot, Dot, Dot and punched out using the star punch, the string is crotchet thread and attached with brads,
and I used some of the scraps inside,
So, what do you think of this weeks sketch? Great huh?
I really hope you will be able to join in with us this week and I look forward to seeing your creations,
Thanks for dropping by today,

Sweet Sketch Sunday :-)

Hello there,
Well, another busy morning here, my car had it's mot today and so I met hubby in town for a coffee while we waited, how very grown up!!
Anyway, I have a card to share with you today, I started with this weeks Sweet Sketch Sunday sketch, and I know I will come back to this one again and again, I already have another card in mind for it ;-)
But here is the first one to begin with,
I used the level 1 hostess set 'A Slice of Life' from the mini catalogue as my main image with the swirl from 'Strength and Hope', ((don't forget to reserve your space now for my charity class using this gorgeous stamp set))
I used some more of the yummy poly twill ribbon to match the base card colour of Blushing Bride, the heart is again from A Slice of Life, why not take advantage of this months offer to get your very own set??
I added a dash of Dazzling Diamonds to the centres of the flowers for a little extra sparkle
and a bit of decoration on the inside to finish,
So, that's todays card for you, be sure to pop back tomorrow for this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenge card,
Thanks for stopping by today,

Scissors!

Hello!
My apologies for not posting yesterday, for once though it was not my fault! I sat down to blog first thing in the morning but bad blogger wouldn't let me add any photos! I went about it all different ways but I do believe that I am not the only one who had trouble yesterday?!
Anyway, enough jibber jabbering, I don't actually have a card today as everything I am working on at the moment is for giving away in the next few weeks, sooo many birthdays coming up ;-)
I have had a little change around of the decoration on my scissors this week though. I always have a bit of ribbon and a button attached so I can (hopefully) fine them in the mess *ahem* I mean creative space!
So this is what I have on them now..
A piece of Old Olive thin (3mm) taffeta with a cute Navy flower button tied on with silver cord,
the other pair have marina mist ribbon and on my tweezers I have a piece in black. Don't they look pretty all together like this??
O.K. that's it for today, another quick post as I am off to be creative ;-)
Don't forget if you want to be creative then book your workshop or place your SU! order with me today with special offers for all HERE or come to my next class which is my charity one on the 9th July, more details HERE
Thanks for stopping by today,

Hello, You

Hello,
I have what was supposed to be a quick make to show you today, but you know how it is, i just kept adding to it as I thought it needed a little something extra! and then the sewing machine came out and well, this is what I ended up with ;-) I must apologise for my photos today, the colours just aren't very good, I think it is because I took the pics first thing this morning and it was quite grey and dull,
I started with a combo from the Colour Coach but once I had started to make it I realised I had picked up the Certainly Celery DSP instead of Wild Wasabi, I like this combo though with Perfect Plum and So Saffron,
I used my old faithful set Pocket Silhouettes, I haven't used this set an absolutely ages, it's really pretty though, don't you think?
This sentiment is from the same named stamp set, it is tucked away at the back of the main catalogue on page 86 if you fancy a look :-) Here I inked it with the markers to get a two toned effect and punched it with the new Decorative Label punch I also added some 3mm taffeta ribbon with a button to finish,
and a little pic of the inside which I went to town a bit with ;-)
Well that's it for today, don't forget my special offer for June and July, I have very few spare days or evenings left during July so contact me now to make a date for YOUR home workshop or to place an order delivered direct to your door, there are more details HERE, and lastly for today this is the last week or so to reserve your place at my charity card making class more details HERE, this class is also available mail order.

Sally-Jo's Birthday

Good Morning!
Super quick post again today as this morning I have a class :-)
So, it was one of the Jems birthdays on Friday so of course I had to make a card, I was a bit late posing it out, oopsie, I really hope she got it before the weekend..
Anyway, colour coach used to get the Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz combo, Strength and Hope stamp set used, read more HERE about my charity class where we will be using this set, having a raffle and lots of other exciting stuff :-D
These butterflies are really gorgeous! I have just adhered the centre on top of a Polka Dot Embossed sheet of card,
I used Oval All for the sentiment, a set I haven't used in ages but I think it looks lovely on top of the Poly In Colour ribbon,
and another little butterfly to finish inside,
Well, that's it, I have a class starting soon so must dash,
Thanks for stopping by today

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there!
I have a super quick post as we are just off out to see Neil's Dad for lunch, this is the card I have made for him, very similar to the one I made for my Dad except I went with the "Z" fold again,
Background is stamped with Dot, Dot, Dot which I stamped off some of the times and then I spritzed it using a Real Red pen and the spritzer tool, I also roughed up some of the edges, you can see that better below...
Colours used were Pacific Point and Real Red, sentiment is the same Something to Celebrate level two set I have had so much use form already, love this set! Why not schedule a workshop and earn it for yourself??
One last pic of the card so you can see it all together
Anyway, that's me done for today, have a lovely day today, but especially if you are a Dad!

Simply Stampin' You've got Male

Good Morning!
And Welcome to another Simply Stampin' Challenge! This weeks theme, as it is Father's Day tomorrow, is You've got Male! so we would like very much this week to see your paper crafts for the men in your life.
I was asked to make a card for a friends Dad who likes army/soldiers, I have to admit I was a bit stumped to begin with as I don't really have any stamps which would be suitable... but then it hit me!!
I used some of the lovely crumb cake paper from the neutrals DSP stack for the background with layers of Basic Black and on a base of Always Artichoke card stock,
I made the army style shirt using a piece of retired Old Olive DSP and coloured the ribbon with the Always Artichoke marker pen to make a tie, finishing off the epaulettes with a tiny gold brad :-D
This width of twill tape is retired but we still carry a thinner one, I love how it looks when it is stamped, here using the Something to Celebrate stamp set (again!)
and I decorated the inside too,
I was really pleased with how this card turned out, especially as I really had no idea when I was first asked to make it, don't you love it when it comes together like this??
Well, we really hope you will be able to join in with this weeks challenge, pop over to the challenge blog for tons more inspiration from the rest of the very talented DT.
Thanks again for stopping by today, I love it when you visit me,

Hello!
I know, it's very late today, I really do have things to share with you too! but first of all, do you want to see why I am sooo late posting today???
Yup, I have a major new time waster!!!We have called him Murphy and he is a Yorkie-poo. He is only really tiny but it is hard to see in this pic so I will try  to take some more pictures this weekend but it is really hard to take photos of a black dog! ha ha!
Anyway I do have some crafty goodness to share with you today too. This is the card I have made for my Dad for Father's Day, I know he doesn't really "do" computers so I should be O.K. posting this and hopefully it will get to him in time too but the Spanish posties don't seem too speedy...
I googled origami shirts and loads of tutorials came up, I added some little brads to resemble buttons but once they were on I think it made it look a bit like a P.J. top!
I used the crimper on the bottom of the Old Olive layer to give a bit of interest, sentiment is again from Something to Celebrate the level two hostess set contact me to find out how it could be yours for free...
and a little detail inside too,
Well, I hope you are well today, it is chucking it down here this afternoon again, not great for puppy toilet training but hey ho :-)
Have a great Friday and I will be back tomorrow with a new Simply Stampin' Challenge,
Thanks for stopping by,
